Create a virtual network adapter separate from the host in VirtualBox

excellent

For example, I have a Linux distribution installed in Virtual Box. I want it to have a virtual adapter with its own IP without creating a network between my host and the virtual machine. I need my VM to act as a real computer in the wireless network I'm connected to. How can I do this in Virtual Box using the adapter option?

Frank Thomas

Use a "bridged" network connection. This will give you an ip in the same subnet as the physical network and will not put a NAT barrier between the VM and other hosts on the network.

You can map a bridged adapter to an unused NIC on your system, or you can share the host NIC if you don't want to run additional network lines.
