Import Self-Signed SSL Certificate on MacOS

Ryan Bell

I generated a self signed certificate with openssl and added it to my linux server. Then I imported the certificate with Keychain Access on the Mac into the system keychain using the setting "Always Trust".

However, when I view the page in Chrome, I still get the error:

The identity of this website has not been verified.
 • Server's certificate is not trusted.

SSL error in Chrome

How do I get Chrome to trust my self-signed certificate?

crazy

According to this , you obviously need to turn on certificates and set "When using this certificate" to "Always Trust", and restart the browser, except what you mentioned is having done.

By the way, https://shiing.com/ works fine with Opera/Gentoo from here.
