Virtualbox Guest OS cannot access internet after setting host only adapter in CentOS 6.4

FilBot3

Edit-2013-07-08 - I'm using Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003 Virtualbox 4.2.16, CentOS 6.4using a host-only adapter and a NAT'ed connection with the guest. First off, I'm using a NAT connection, but I'd like to be able to use an SSH client that I can copy and paste into. So I set the host-only adapter as the second connection. After using it without problems, I restarted the guest OS and then I can't access the internet through the NAT connection. Once I disabled the "host-only" adapter's cable and "disconnected" it, I was able to access the internet again. Is there a way to set up a guest OS to use the NAT'ed connection for internet access, and the Host-Only adapter to accept SSH connections, instead of trying to send all traffic through the Host-Only adapter?

This also happens on other host operating systems, not just Windows, but OS X, even Fedora or Ubuntu.

What I did to fix this was to add two lines to the internet facing interface. I added DNS1=x.x.x.xand DNS2=y.y.y.y. Restart the network, which will allow the interface I want to connect to the internet to connect using the appropriate DNS servers. I used Google DNS server and it works fine. Now I can bring up all the interfaces at the same time without worrying about losing routes. I can still SSH over the VirtualBox host-only adapter, but only over IP.
