Unable to access files on LAN

Oaks

I have two computers:

  • PC 1:192.168.0.1
  • PC 2:192.168.0.2

When I test ping, like this Screen Shot, it works , and when I use Remote Desktop, it works too.

However, when I want to access the file and type \\192.168.0.2in file explorer , I get this error:

unspecified error
(unspecified error)

When I click on DesktopPC (name of PC 2) I get this error in "Network Panel":

network path not found
(Cannot find network path)

PC 1 Windows is Windows 8.1, PC2 is Windows 7, found that sharing is enabled and the folder is shared in PC2! But I just can't see it in pc1

Suburban Africa

Are you sure that network discovery/sharing is enabled on both computers. If so, just scroll down to the network directory on the left side of the file browser window and you should be able to access the computer. If that doesn't work, I suggest you just use sftp software like Fileftp. GUI is very easy to use.
